Spanish Connections week of 2/2/15
This week students will turn in their body projects on Monday.
- We will learn the Spanish alphabet, days, months, and how to ask and tell the date in Spanish.
- Students will create foldables to help them study.
- Students will research important dates in Spanish-speaking countries.
- Students will have a quiz on this week's concepts on Friday
- Please make sure your child studies nightly to prepare for the quiz on Friday.

Vocabulary and notes follow;
* Spanish days and months are not capitalized.
* The Spanish week begins on Monday on the calendar.
* The first day of the month is called the first = January 1= el primero de enero.
To say the date in Spanish use the following phrase:
el + day(#) + de+ month
Example: February 14 in Spanish would be el 14 de febrero (the 14th of February)
October 8 in Spanish would be el 8 de octubre (the 8th of October.
